This body of work is based upon fabricated beings driven primarily by my subconscious mind. The figures present are developed through internal dialogue. A particular thought or emotion will evolve through choices of mark, directional forces, and color palette; through this, composition will begin to take form in a more abstracted manner.
The essence and presence of the figure is important. The figure is placed in various dreamlike environments, however; this ambiguous space and the being become intertwined through the tactile abilities of the paint and personal choices of hue, etc. to further establish the concept or emotion at play.
